Precautions & Side Effects

These strips don’t interact with your body, but the blood sampling process can have effects:

• Mild pain, bleeding, bruising, or rare infections at the finger-prick site

• Psychological stress or anxiety if glucose readings fluctuate unexpectedly 

• Using expired or moisture-exposed strips can yield inaccurate results, potentially leading to wrong treatment decisions 

Best Practices

• Store properly in original packaging, close vial immediately, keep at recommended temperature (approx. 2–30 °C) 

• Check expiry date and vial integrity before use

• Wash and dry hands thoroughly before sampling

• Use sterile lancets, lancet each test site to avoid infection risk.

• Dispose of strips and sharps properly, in accordance with local regulations.
