AZOTEK 500mg Tablet contains Azithromycin 500mg, a macrolide antibiotic manufactured by Saffron Pharmaceuticals. It is prescribed for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections, including infections of the throat, chest, lungs, ears, skin, and certain sexually transmitted infections. Azithromycin works by stopping the growth of bacteria, allowing the body's immune system to eliminate the infection. It is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
