Uses & Benefits

• Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis (hay fever): Effective for relieving nasal and non-nasal symptoms such as sneezing, itchy or runny nose, nasal congestion, and red or watery eyes

•  Management of Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (hives): Reduces itching and rash in adults aged 18 and older

• Non-sedating formula: Unlike older antihistamines, bilastine rarely causes drowsiness and maintains alertness throughout the day

• Rapid onset and long-lasting action: Effects usually begin within 30–60 minutes and last up to 24 hours per dose

Dosage & Administration

• Standard dose: One 20 mg tablet once daily, orally, in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above (≥ 12 years for allergic rhinitis; ≥ 18 years for chronic urticaria) Take on an empty stomach: Ideally 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal to ensure optimal absorption 

• No dose adjustment is typically required for renal or hepatic impairment, or in elderly patients 

 Common & Rare Side Effects

Common (usually mild):

• Headache

• Drowsiness or fatigue

• Dizziness

• Occasionally nausea and dry mouth 

These effects are generally transient and resolve as your body adjusts.
