CUTISlotion – Antibiotic for Bacterial Infections

Overview:
 ciprofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is effective against respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, gastrointestinal infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases.

Uses:

• Treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Management of respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Gastrointestinal infections including infectious diarrhea and typhoid fever

• Bone and joint infections

• Certain sexually transmitted infections

How It Works:
Ciprofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which are essential for bacterial replication, repair, and survival. This action stops the growth and spread of bacteria.

Dosage & Administration:
Take CUTIS 250mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually twice daily with or without food. Avoid taking it with dairy products alone as they may reduce absorption.

Side Effects:
Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, and stomach upset. Rare but serious effects may include tendon inflammation or rupture, nerve damage, and severe allergic reactions.

Precautions:

• Not recommended for children, pregnant, or breastfeeding women unless prescribed

• Avoid excessive sun exposure during treatment

• Maintain adequate hydration

• Use with caution in patients with kidney problems or a history of tendon disorders
