Pharmacist Advice
Take GLUSIT exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Sitagliptin is generally taken once daily, with or without food. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.
Kidney function is important when determining the appropriate Sitagliptin dose. Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease or have previously experienced pancreatitis.
If GLUSIT is taken with insulin or a sulfonylurea, your doctor may need to adjust treatment because the risk of low blood sugar can increase.
Maintain your recommended diet, exercise routine and blood-glucose monitoring schedule. GLUSIT is intended for Type 2 diabetes and is not a treatment for Type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Tell your doctor about all medicines and supplements you take, and consult your healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
