LIMIGZOL 2.5MG TAB

LIMIGZOL 2.5 mg contains zolmitriptan, a medication used for the treatment of acute migraine attacks with or without aura. It belongs to the triptan class of drugs and works by acting on serotonin receptors to relieve migraine symptoms. 

Uses

• Treats acute migraine headaches in adults

• Helps relieve symptoms such as:

  • Headache pain

  • Nausea and vomiting

  • Sensitivity to light and sound
    LIMIGZOL is not for preventing migraines — it’s used only when a migraine begins. 

Dosage

• Take as soon as migraine symptoms start

• Swallow the tablet whole with water (do not crush or chew)

• If symptoms persist, a second dose may be taken after at least 2 hours

• Do not exceed 10 mg in 24 hours (maximum) without doctor’s advice 

Common Side Effects

May include:

• Dizziness

• Drowsiness

• Nausea

• Dry mouth

• Weakness or fatigue

• Headache

• Tingling or numbness 

Serious or Less Common Reactions

• Chest, neck, jaw, or throat tightness or pressure

• Heart rhythm changes

• Temporary rise in blood pressure

• Allergic reactions
  These require urgent medical attention.

Precautions & Contraindications

Avoid taking LIMIGZOL if you have:

• Heart disease (ischemic heart disease)

• Uncontrolled high blood pressure

• History of stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)

• Prinzmetal’s angina or coronary artery disease
  You should also consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Also avoid use with certain antidepressants (risk of serotonin syndrome) unless advised by a doctor.
