NOSPA FORTE contains 80 mg of Drotaverine Hydrochloride, a potent antispasmodic that relaxes smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal, biliary, urinary, and reproductive tracts, effectively reducing spasms and associated pain

How It Works

Drotaverine inhibits phosphodiesterase‑IV (PDE‑IV), raising cyclic AMP levels and inducing smooth muscle relaxation and improved microcirculation 

Dosage & Usage

• Adults: 1–3 tablets per day, split into 1–3 doses; max 80 mg daily 

• Children (over 12 yrs): 1–2 tablets per day in divided doses 

• Take orally with water; can be taken with or without food Do not crush or chew tablets

Common Side Effects

• Dizziness, headache, dry mouth, or nausea

• Possible heart rate changes: temporary bradycardia, tachycardia or palpitations

• Rare: constipation, flushing, skin reactions, urinary retention, blurred vision (due to pupil dilation)

• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice 

• Not suitable for individuals with paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis, toxic megacolon, or prostatic enlargement 

• Use cautiously in patients with heart conditions, GERD, glaucoma, liver or kidney impairment, and the elderly 

• Avoid alcohol while taking this medication, and note potential interactions with Levodopa, antimuscarinics, and benzodiazepines
