Pharmacist Advice
Take Tagip Met 50/850mg exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is generally taken with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow the tablet with water and do not crush or alter it unless your healthcare professional advises otherwise.
Monitor your blood glucose regularly according to your doctor's recommendations.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, heart problems, pancreatitis, or a history of lactic acidosis. Kidney function should be assessed periodically while taking Metformin.
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption because it may increase the risk of Metformin-associated lactic acidosis.
Inform your doctor about all medicines you take, including other diabetes medicines. Do not independently combine Tagip Met with another product containing Sitagliptin or Metformin.
If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is close to your next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using Tagip Met during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Keep out of reach of children and store according to the instructions on the packaging.
