Uses & Therapeutic Benefits
Wilsop 60 mg is primarily used to:

Heal erosive esophagitis (EE): Standard dose is 60 mg once daily for up to 8 weeks Maintain healing and relieve heartburn: Switch to 30 mg daily for up to 6 months once EE is healed

Treat symptomatic non‑erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): 30 mg once daily for ~4 weeks
Mechanism: Dexlansoprazole suppresses gastric acid by inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺‑ATPase proton pump in stomach parietal cells, offering prolonged acid control longer than traditional PPIs
Dosage & Administration

Adults (≥12 years): Take 60 mg capsule once daily, before a meal; swallow whole without chewing or crushing .

If unable to swallow, capsule may be opened and contents mixed with applesauce—but consumed immediately without chewing
