XENGLU-MET combines two active ingredients: Empagliflozin 5 mg and Metformin 1000 mg, formulated as a film-coated tablet. It is designed for adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, to help lower elevated blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are insufficient. The dual action works by increasing glucose loss through the kidneys (Empagliflozin) and improving insulin sensitivity while reducing liver production of glucose (Metformin).
